This incident caused the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park.

Two more people have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault near the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - which police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
